Upon graduation, you will receive a Doctorate degree in Artificial Insemination, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Veterinary Medicine).

Registration Acceptance Conditions
In order for a student to apply to this doctoral program;
-Must have a veterinary faculty diploma.
-For those who apply for doctoral education with a master's and bachelor's degree; must have an ALES score determined by the University Senate in the numerical score type for health sciences. (To have received at least 55 standard points in the Numerical Score type from ALES or to have received a passing score from an exam accepted as equivalent by the Senate and valid at an international level instead of the ALES result)
-Must have received a base score determined by the Senate from one of the languages of English, German, French, Italian, Russian and Arabic; ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL or equivalent exams accepted by YÖK. (To have received at least 55 points from one of the YDS or YÖKDİL exams organized by ÖSYM or to have received an equivalent score from any exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board)
-Success grade for student admission to the doctoral program; for those who apply with a bachelor's degree; for those who apply with a master's degree; It is calculated by adding 20% of the master's degree weighted grade point average, 50% of the standard score obtained from ALES and 30% of the score obtained as a result of the interview conducted by the jury established by the institute's board of directors for each department. In order for a candidate to be considered successful, the success grade must be at least 70. Students are accepted according to the announced quota by ranking from the highest score to the lowest.
Admission Requirements for Foreign Students;
- For foreign students studying in Turkey;
A base score determined by the Senate from one of the languages of English, German, French; ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL or equivalent exams accepted by YÖK and an ALES exam result document are required.
- For foreign students not studying in Turkey;
The diplomas they received from higher education institutions abroad through formal education must be included in the current international lists of the Council of Higher Education (diploma recognition certificate) in accordance with the regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 05.12.2017 and article 7/p of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880.
To have received the result determined by the Senate as a result of the Turkish proficiency exam given by TÖMER, indicating that they know Turkish.
To have received the base score determined by the Senate in one of the languages other than their mother tongue; English, German, French; ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL or equivalent exams accepted by YÖK.
Recognition of Prior Learning
The provisions of the "Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" shall apply. Horizontal transfer is possible with the approval of the relevant department head and the decision of the institute's board of directors.
Degree Requirements and Rules
The students studying in this Ph.D program are required:
to take a minimum of 7 courses with a minimum of 21 local credits
to pass the qualifying examination,
to prepare and defend a doctoral dissertation
to succeed in all the courses with a letter grade of at least CB/S
to have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.50/4.00 with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits.
Program Profile
The Artificial Insemination Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctorate Program will accept its first students in the Spring Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year. The language of instruction is Turkish. The program includes compulsory and elective courses related to the field of Artificial Insemination Obstetrics and Gynecology. Students who pass the compulsory and elective courses related to the field in the first 4 semesters (two years) and pass the proficiency exam; conduct a thesis study related to the field in the last four semesters. Students who are successful in the thesis defense at the end of the thesis study graduate from the program.

Graduates who successfully complete their doctoral education can do advanced studies in the same or similar fields in domestic and foreign R&D centers, universities and biotechnology laboratories; and can work on post-doctoral projects in domestic and foreign universities and institutes.
Exams, Assessment and Grading
It is implemented in accordance with Article 9 of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Postgraduate Education and Examination Regulation.
